Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Christ Church and we rely tremendously on their support.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to get involved with our Church community and we have such a wide variety of roles that there is something to suit everyone. From making coffee after services and stewarding our guests to gardening and maintenance, whatever your skill set we would love to hear from you and how you would like to help.
There are a couple of positions that we urgently need help with, so we would be especially grateful to hear from you if you would like to find out more. Please submit the enquiry form at the bottom of the page and tell us what role(s) are of interest.
Volunteer Role – Hospitality Co-ordinator
We need someone to oversee our Sunday morning coffee rota to enable the friendship and fellowship of post-church coffee to continue.
Every week make sure someone is making coffee and there are enough supplies.
As required go to Booker cash and carry to buy supplies (tea bags, coffee, sugar and biscuits), and complete the church claim form with receipts for reimbursement. This can be done at a frequency and time to suit you.
Bring milk weekly. If you are away, arrange for someone else to do it – start by asking the people on the coffee rota that week.
Maintain the coffee rota, producing a new rota every 6 or 12 months. Existing volunteers have a regular Sunday slot. Recruit new people to join the rota as required.
Please note this role could be shared with one person buying and maintaining supplies and one maintaining the rota.
If this is something that interests you, please complete the enquiry form.
Volunteer Role – Sound Desk Operator
We are looking for people to join a rota to operate the sound desk during our 10.30am Sunday services. No experience is needed as training is provided. If you can join the rota once a month that would be ideal, but occasional help is also welcome.
If this is something that interests you, please complete the enquiry form.
